Obama Pushes for Transgender Rights

The Obama Administration has proposed a bill that bans discrimination against the transgender community over healthcare. The Huffington Post reports that "more than 4 in 10 female-to-male transgender people reported discrimination in the health care system." This step is one in many Obama has taken to support the Transgender community, others include the symbolic gesture of mentioning them in his State of the Union Address and making it easier for them to get new passports. Anti-discrimination laws were already embedded into the Affordable Health Care Act, but advocates of the new bill are hoping to make this even more clear.
