Putin Tries to Makes Amends Through Efforts in Syria

The New York Times reported today that Russia's president, Vladimir Putin, has been making an effort to get back in the good graces of the West. He sent military forces into Syria and has been calling for a meeting with Obama. He also is reported to have a Syrian peace plan that he wants to bring to the table at the next United Nations meeting.
