The New York Times released an article covering the story of two Salvadorian brothers who came illegally to the United States. They are currently trying to earn citizenship in New York city. The article uses this to bring up the shift in the United State's illegal immigration problem: from too many people coming, to too many children getting deported. These children lack the means to win court cases, as the right to an attorney does not apply to non-U.S. citizens. The situation for those in New York City is slightly better than other cities in the U.S. thanks to a coalition formed to provide the immigrants with legal support, but the situation is remains far from ideal.
