Texas currently has 17 abortion clinics statewide according to the New York Times. This number has dropped drastically in recent years due to House Bill 2 which calls for extreme regulations on abortion clinics. Opponents of this bill say that this is an infringement on women's rights and are calling for the Supreme Court to revue the bill. If it is found unconstitutional, the clinics that had been shut down will reopen, saving some women up to a 350 mile drive to the nearest clinic.
